INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 stick of cinnamon
6 whole cloves
6 whole allspice
1 lemon, sliced thinly
1 cup water
1 bottle red wine (750 ml)

Mix together sugars, spices and lemon in large
saucepan with the water. Simmer uncovered
for 15 minutes. Add one bottle of red wine
and heat to drinking temperature. Taste and
add more lemon juice if it's too sweet. Keep
warm in a crockpot or urn.

Mixing up a large batch? Just multiply ingredient
amounts by bottles of wine.
